THE WHOLE REALM AND RANGE OF CHRIST FOR EXPERIENCE, IS DEPENDENT UPON HIS RISEN LIFE IN US, OUR LAYING HOLD OF IT, AND STANDING ON IT. MAY THE LORD SHOW US MORE OF WHAT THAT MEANS.

GOD'S ULTIMATE STANDARD

Most of us are raised with a standard of life.  We come to measure and model our lives by them.  We compare our standards with those of others.  The level and quality of those standards will continually fluctuate in accordance with personal circumstances of which we can or cannot control,  our belief systems and convictions.  Our interpretation of our comparisons to morals, principals and behaviors we make a part of our lives.  All our lives we are making choices which effect the standard of our living.  When we have no choice, our choosing is in the attitude which we deal with the standard that seems forced upon us.
The standards of man, are not the standards of the Living True God.  His standards are not ordinary, average, or changing.  What is, was, and ever shall be in Him.  His Standard is set and fixed, IN HIMSELF.  Therefore he is the Ultimate Standard by which we are called to live.  It is the standard  which the Church, the churches, and individual believers are presented with, in the Testament of Christ Jesus.
This Testament is given to us in the "Revelation" of His Word.  It is the strength of our "overcoming" the world.  It will free us to stand in the fullness of the stature of Christ,  the manifestation of His character in us, His faith, His righteousness, His strength, His wisdom, His trustworthy love.
There are no comparative standards in Christ Jesus.
In the Revelation of Jesus Christ,  only the comparative standards were presented against the fixed and Divine standards (law of the Spirit) of Christ.
Man's standards include:  "Works" labours, sincerity, zeal, hatred of falsehood, hypocrisy and orthodoxy. (etc.)
To bring us under the influence and authority of God's ultimate standards,  His love is faithful to warn us that we are stepping out of His will and standard, and He will rebuke us with entreaty and the severity of His rod and staff.  For whom He loves, He rebukes.  It is not the sentimental rebuking of men,  it is the faithfulness of a Holy God that is perpetually rescuing us from our own thinking, our own way, our own standards.  The standards of the flesh will not enter into the Kingdom of God.
It is the redeeming Love of Christ that must come through the revelation of His own testimony.  His Word trumpeting within us, the sound of His arrival in the power and strength of His Holy Spirit.  The unveiling of Himself by the Holy Spirit.
"There must be a Divine criterion (standard) by which all is measured.  John the Revelater presented the significance of Christ to us, in that the whole book of "Revelation" is governed by the initial unveiling and presenting of Jesus Christ in full stature and the detailed character of what the Body of Christ is, for us to live by.  Christ in you, the Hope of Glory.  The Ultimate Standard"
